Photo Monday: Photo FUN-day

August 29, 2011

I was going through the photos on my phone and thought I’d share a few that took too long to upload onto Twitter. And I’m sure you don’t want to miss out on my photos and their corresponding sarcastic comments.

Current boyfriend

Do you think there’s a frame that has “Past boyfriend” painted on it? I also appreciate how they make the name tag as easy to change as the photo. They’re not even pretending that this relationship is going to last.

Meg Ryan
Some people put photos of their grandkids on their bags. Some people put a photo of their Shitzu on their purse. This person? This person put their favorite celebrity on their bag. To each their own, and sometimes that even includes crazy people.

Cell phone holder
I was a Walgreens and the nine-year-old girl in front of me turned around to tell me, “I wish I had enough money to buy that.” Except with about 20 added syllables because of her incredibly thick accent. The greatest mystery is not why a nine-year-old would want a cell phone holder, but why this particular holder is worth 20 bucks.

Hip salads

I didn’t actually read the article, so the obvious question remains: What makes a salad hip? Is it full of obscure ingredients you’ve probably never heard of? Is it served in a bowl that they found in their grandma’s basement and would be considered hideous by everyone with two working eyes, but is now considered cool because it’s just that ugly?

Golden CorralI don’t normally advocate eating at buffets, but when someone else pays, you enjoy your over-priced smorgasboard of heat lamp meats and starches. But as you wait in line, take note of the judgmental tone found in this sign. Now they just need a photo of a middle-aged mom staring at you over her glasses. Pick up that tray and listen to her as she says “If you were married by now, you wouldn’t be an individual and could use a tray. You aren’t getting any younger!”

Were No. 1The importance of proper grammar and spelling illustrated: We used to be number one, but we’re not any more.
